Writing a news report

When we write a news report we provide information about a recent event. We present the facts objectively in order of importance. The report should answer the questions: who, what, when, where and why. We should use connectors or linking words to make or writing meaningful.

 We should divide it into three paragraphs:

Opening: We should write a summary of the event and the most important facts.

Body: We should give details about the events.

Closing: We should write about the significance of the event or reactions and comments.

Here is a list of expressions you can use in your essay:
